Day 1
Arrival in Saigon
Welcome to Saigon, which is now called Ho Chi Minh City – a lively and bustling place in Vietnam. When you arrive at the airport, we’ll take you to your hotel. Once you’re checked in, you will set off on an evening city tour.
You will visit the Reunification Palace, where you can learn about the Vietnam War that ended in 1975. Next, you will see the Central Post Office, a beautiful building with a colonial style that’s an important part of the city. Then, you will take a walk along Nguyen Hue street to snap some photos of the Opera House and the Ho Chi Minh Committee (from the outside). Finally, you will stroll to Ben Thanh Market, a famous spot in Saigon. It’s a wonderful place to see how locals live their daily lives and do some shopping for handmade goods. After the tour, you will spend the night at the hotel in Saigon.
Day 2
Saigon - Mekong Delta - Saigon
Today, you will be heading to the Mekong Delta. When you get there, you will hop on a boat and cruise along the mighty Mekong River. This will give us a chance to see how local people live along the riverbanks. You will make a stop at one of the four islands. Here, you will take small boats rowed by local folks through narrow canals surrounded by water coconut trees. You will visit local factories and then take a peaceful horse-cart ride through the village.
In the evening, you will return to Saigon with a stop at Vinh Trang Pagoda. This pagoda is famous for its unique architecture, which combines Chinese, Cambodian, and French influences. You will spend the night at the hotel in Saigon.
Day 3
Saigon - Cu Chi Tunnels
After you have your breakfast today, you will be heading to the Cu Chi Tunnels. You will get a chance to crawl through some of the tunnels underground for a real experience. You will then return to Saigon and drop you off at your hotel.
In the evening, you will have free time for shopping in downtown Saigon. There are many great places where you can find lovely stuff at reasonable prices. Some places to check out during your shopping adventure include Ben Thanh Market (the centre and typical market of Saigon), Saigon Square (a few minutes’ walk from Ben Thanh Market), An Dong Plaza and its nearby Market, or Diamond Plaza if you’re looking for high-quality and brand name goods. Tonight, you’ll stay at the hotel in Saigon.
Day 4
Depart Saigon
This morning, after breakfast, we will take you to the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
